Community Club February 2018 Meeting

Clear Lake Community Club Meeting Minutes February 5, 2018 Meeting was called to order by Alison Blanchard-Avery. Secretary’s Report: January minutes were read. Treasure’s Report: $12,000.48 New Business: Winter Carnival- Miss Clear Lake Lizzy wanted to say “Thank You” for us sending her to the winter carnival and she shared her experience. CL Parade- April Riniker is in charge of the parade this year. Having a theme, candy, and a prized for the best float was discussed. Music on the floats will be a must. Some ideas for themes were Mardi Gra, Chineese New Year, Hodown, Old West, Centenial. Other ideas will be brought to the next meeting. April Riniker made 1 st motion and Amy Strobach made a 2 nd Queen for a Day- Amy Strobach is in charge of Queen for a day. It will be April 14 th at 2 pm with a program at 7 pm. Will be using the same budget as last year. Will be finding a picture printer and bringing the information to the next meeting. CL Derby- Lisa Duden is in charge of the CL Derby. Insurance is needed. Will be getting quotes and presenting them at next month’s meeting. Save the Date Cards – Will be sent out CL Days Bands – Nextgen will be sponsoring the band Compromise for Clear Lake Days, Amy Strobach made 1 st motion and April Riniker made 2nd motion Clear Lake Days- The location/layout will be figured out next month. The CLACC wants to have a vender show and tractor show and we agreed that it would be ok for them to have it. Lisa was not sure if there will be a pedal pull this year, she will bring more information when she receives it.
