FREDERIC VILLAGE BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Frederic Village Hall ∙110 Oak Street E Monday, June 9, 2025 ∙ 7:00 PM Call to Order Regular Board Meeting by President Amanda Blackmon at 7:00 pm at the Frederic Village Hall Agenda Approval Motion to approve the agenda by D Wisse/P Swenson. Vote: Carried Approve Previous Meeting Minutes Motion to approve May 12, 2025 minutes as presented by B Harlander/D Wisse. Vote: Carried Public Comments – William Johnson reported the Cycling Without Age program will start bringing the trishaw to Frederic Nursing and Rehab. Homeowner/Resident Request for Reimbursement – 507 Maple Street W Brent Hostrup and Timothy Moody were present to discuss a water surge issue that was originally discussed with the Public Works Committee. After discussion the Board stated the homeowner will have to run the claim through insurance. Motion to direct B Hostrup, homeowner, to run claim through the Village insurance by B Harlander/P Swenson. Vote: Carried. MSA Project Update D Lindh, MSA, review the project update and confirmed that Elm Street at Wisconsin will be open during Family Days to accommodate the closing of the Oak at Wisconsin during the street dance. Wisconsin Avenue – Amendment No. 1 Drew Lindh, MSA, reviewed amendment No. 1. The project may go over the original budget so MSA is proposing increasing the budget to be safe do to grant/loan constraints. Motion to approve Amendment No. 1 as presented by P Swenson/J Peterson. Vote: Carried Lions Club Temporary License – June 20 - 22 Board reviewed application from Lion’s Club Motion to approve Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s License Application as presented by B Harlander/D Wisse. Vote: Carried Family Days Requests and Discussion, if needed. There were no representatives from the Chamber at the meeting. Board and staff discussed what they knew about needs for Family Days and a better way to handle Family Days requests in the future. A Special Use Permit will be created and discussed prior to Family Days 2026 Resolution 06-25 Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) CMAR was reviewed. The village will follow DNR advice for any necessary updates. Motion to approve CMRA as presented by P Swenson/B Morris. Vote: Carried License Renewals for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025 Motion to approve license renewals for 2025-2026 as presented by J Peterson/B Morris. Vote: Carried Committee and Department Head Report No questions. Approval of Check Register – Check #193890-193941 Motion to approve checks 193890-193941 by P Swenson/B Harlander. Vote: Carried Convene into Closed Session Motion to convene into closed session by P Swenson/J Peterson. Roll Call Vote: Carried Reconvene in Open Session Motion to Reconvene into Open Session by R Lillehaug/J Peterson.
