FREDERIC VILLAGE BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Frederic Village Hall ∙110 Oak Street E Monday, January 12, 2026 ∙ 7:00 PM Call to Order Regular Board Meeting by President Amanda Blackmon at 7:00 pm at the Frederic Village Hall Agenda Approval Motion to approve the agenda by R Lillehaug/B Morris. Vote: Carried Approve Previous Meeting Minutes Motion to approve December 8, 2025 minutes as presented by P Swenson/B Harlander. Vote: Carried Public Comments None Frederic Area Chamber Building Use Agreement Board reviewed slight change that was made. The agreement will need to be signed by the Chamber and then it will come back to the Board. Motion to Approve Agreement as presented by B Harlander/R Lillehaug. Vote: Carried Frederic Arts Temporary License Board reviewed Frederic Arts application for temporary beer licenses for upcoming in-house concerts on Jan 30, Feb 27, March 27 and April 24. Motion to approve application by B Harlander/P Swenson. Vote: Carried Change Order #3 – Wisconsin Avenue D Lindh, MSA was present to discuss the Change Order which changes the substantial completion date to February 10 because of street light poles which haven’t arrived yet. Motion to approve change order #3 as presented by P Swenson/R Lillehaug. Vote: Carried Pay App #6 Wisconsin Avenue Project - $127,894.03 D Lindh, MSA, was at the meeting and explained the pay app and recommended the Board approve the app as presented. Motion to approve pay app #6 as presented by B Harlander/R Lillehaug. Vote: Carried. Committee and Department Head Report B Struck reported that the new equipment for snow removal is working great, money well spent. B Harlander gave a report on the winter sports at the village parks. The skating rink is open and has been heavily used. He thanked William, Art and Dave for grooming the skiing and snowshoeing trails. He also thanked Lakes Gas for donating the gas for the Zamboni for the season. Approval of Journal Entries and Check Register – Check #194219-194271 Motion to approve checks and journal entries as presented by P Swenson/J Peterson. Vote: Carried Items for Future Agendas Schedule a Public Works Committee meeting and a meeting for the Ad-Hoc Feral Cat Committee. Convene into Closed Session Motion to convene into closed session by J Peterson/P Swenson. Roll Call Vote: Carried Reconvene in Open Session Motion to Reconvene into Open Session by P Swenson/J Peterson. Vote: Carried Action, if Any, from Closed Session Motion to accept Chief Brandon Sams recommendation to hire Katie Lee for the open full-time police officer position by B Harlander/B Morris.
