Minutes: Town of Stockton Board Meeting Monday, April 29th, 2024 @ 6:30 PM Town Hall, 7252 6th St, Custer, WI 54423 1. Call to order by Chairman Mike Bronk at 6:30pm. Supervisor Jeanne Dodge, Supervisor Terry Johnson, and Clerk Jennifer Zurawski were all present. Treasurer, Sandra Walters was excused due to another appointment. Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer, Deputy Fire Chief Brian Higgins and Assistant Chief of EMS Dennis Lepak were also present. There was 1 member of the public present. 2. Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve Agenda for Monday, April 29th, 2024. Motion carried 3-0. 3. Motion (Dodge/Johnson) to approve minutes for the Town Board Meeting of April 8th, 2024. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Anyone wishing to Address the Board – No Comment 5. Emergency Services Report including Fire Chief General Report & EMS Report – Assistant Chief Lepak reported 4 calls since last report (1 medical, 3 trauma), giving us a total of 40 calls for the year (12 medical, 28 medical). Assistant Chief Lepak has 12 current active members and medical supplies are being managed based on a call schedule with no plans of adding additional packs at this time. Lepak plans to attend the Portage County Safety Fair on 05/18/2024 which is required for Public Education for annual grant received. Fire Chief Jeremy Spencer reported 5 calls since last report to include structure fire mutual aid calls and vehicle accident on Hwy 10. Chief Spencer updated the board on the fire engine, airbags are installed, pump has been tested and working on the AC and Pierce labeling. Chief Spencer reported that are waiting to receive the thermal imager from Firehouse subs grant and once received they will come to the station for a photo op. Chief Spencer announced they have one new applicant who has attended one training and his background/driving records are clear. Chief Spencer announced Adopt-a- road clean up will be May 8 th, the MREA energy fair is planned for Saturday June 22nd and the department swearing in ceremony will be Wednesday June 26th. 6. March Treasurer’s Report – Motion (Bronk/Dodge) to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented by the clerk in the Treasurer’s Walters absence. Motion carried 3-0. 7. Public Works Update – Chairman Bronk stated that the road crew has been busy mowing the sides of the roads and had several trees down in the last week. Bronk stated that the 350 is back from the body shop after hitting the deer. Chairman Bronk reported the road crew is going to be out patching, crack filling and seal coating roads to get them ready for the chip sealing projects starting soon. 8. Bills/Checks/Void Checks to Approve – Motion (Johnson/Dodge) to approve checks 43779 -43839 and ACH transfers 201185-201191. Motion carried 3-0. 9. Clerk’s Report – Clerk Zurawski stated the new website is now live and told the board to check it out. Zurawski stated she will have a training course on Thursday, May 23rd to find out how to use all the new features and update new information on the site. Clerk Zurawski reported that she completed the ARPA Fund reporting that was due on May 1st and that grant is now closed as all funds have been used. Clerk Zurawski stated she completed a grant application at Sonnentag American Foundation to consider a donation to the basketball court project planned for Summer 2024 in the Stockton Park. Zurawski stated the April Election is now reconciled and closed. Zurawski reported she completed the Recycling Grant online. 10. Correspondence – Supervisor Terry Johnson reported that he met with Alliant Energy and a Generator representative to determine the size generators we would need. It was determined that we would need a 21K size generator for the Shop, 17K size generator for the Town Hall, and 29K size for the water pump down the hill. Alliant Energy stated we would need 3 separate units for these size determinations to be compliant. 11. Motion (Johnson/Bronk) to adjourn at 7:01 pm. Motion carried 3-0.
