Almond Village Board Regular Meeting September 14, 2026 5:00 pm Present: B. Roehrborn, D. Johnson, D. Schultz, D. Warzynski, T. Manske, K. Wellens, H Burns, C Smith Visitors: Greg Otto, Cliff Williams Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn  The Pledge of Allegiance was said. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to approve the minutes from the August meeting.  Motion approved 5-0.  Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.  D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by K. Wellens to approve the treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 5-0. Finance report – D. Johnson gave the finance report. D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by K. Wellens to approve the bills.   Motion approved 5-0. Public Input – D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to approve the request from Dee’s Bar & Grill requesting closure of Division Street from CTY A to 2 nd Street on September 26, 2026 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for a car show, and 3:00pm to 6:00 pm for a band. This would include refreshments.  Approved 5-0. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to approve operator licenses for Greg Otto, Crystal M Strossner and Ulrich J Raatz.  Motion approved 5-0 Public Works – Discussion on fixing the sidewalk by Pat Kruger where she took down a tree.  Greg and Tim Pagel will get this fixed. Fire/EMS – D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to approve the Fire department budget for 2027 in the amount of $51,035.03.  Motion approved 5-0. Property – Discussion on the playground equipment at the Lions Park.  It is getting old and worn out and needs replacement.  Dylan Warynski said he would talk to the Lions and hopefully they can help with this project. George Reed has asked if he could help update our benches in the Village.  Greg asked permission to remove the basketball hoops behind the store as they are in bad shape and no one uses them.   Ordinance/Personnel – Need to send another letter to 235 Blaine St to have the semi-trailer be removed off the right of way.  No more permits until this is done.  He has made some improvement on his retaining walls.  Notice must include giving him 7 days to remove it. Equipment – Guy working on wheel loader will be back tomorrow to do some more.  Greg needs to get a turbo for it. Cemetery – Nothing Beautification – None Media/Sewer –Sludge has decreased about 35% since using the micro bugs at the lagoon. Budget workshop will be held on October 19, 2026 at 5:00pm Halloween Trick or Treating in the Village will be on October 30, 2026, 5-7pm Next meeting October 12, 2026, 5 pm D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to adjourn.  Motion approved 5-0 Adjourned at 6:00 pm Respectfully Carol Smith
