Hydrant flushing Notice

NOTICE - CITY OF HAYWARD WATER CUSTOMERS HYDRANT FLUSHING On Monday, APRIL 20th the City of Hayward Water Utility will begin flushing hydrants in order to clean out the main lines in our efforts to provide you with better water. Flushing will be from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting on Monday, April 20th through Thursday, April 23rd. You may experience periods of low pressure and/or discolored water. If you prefer, you may refrigerate a few gallons of tap water ahead of time to be used for cooking or drinking. If the water is not discolored, it is completely safe for use. If you should experience discolored water, open the cold water tap until it clears. You should refrain from doing any laundry until you are sure the water has cleared.
