UPDATE ON:
a. AVAILABLE PROPERTY INVENTORY AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
Steve Goss reported contractor/builder Mr. James Robecky will present his housing proposal to school
board member Gordon O’Brien in December. Initial discussions for the proposed housing
development included 4 twin homes on Colfax Street and a 4-plex on S. Spring Street.
Suggested to encourage promotion of building projects after contracts are signed. Include school
district in promoting the project.
b. MARKETING STRATEGIES
i. INDUSTRIAL PARK SIGNAGE AND AVAILABILITY OF LOTS FOR SALE
Mr. Kelley spoke to Corey Bauch about replacing the signs at the industrial park. Estimated
costs are $10,000 - $30,000 depending on the design, manufacturing, and installation.
The IDC will request to market the available industrial lots on behalf of the city.
ii. BUSINESS DISTRICT SIGNAGE
Mr. Kelley made contact with the Augusta Area Alliance (Travis Keading and Carol Peuse) about
reviving the “Welcome to Augusta Business District” signage that was displayed on the pharmacy wall
(153 W. Lincoln St.) Businesses would purchase the signs to help pay for the framework structure that
the signs would be hung on. The Augusta Area Alliance was asked to take on this project and then the
maintenance could be turned over to the group who wants to start a Chamber of Commerce.
There was little interest in taking on the project.
DISCUSS ANY NEW BUSINESS
Replace board member Lindsay Olson. Goss will approach employees at Oakwood Bank to seek interest in
serving on the IDC board.
Draft a banking resolution to include Oakwood Bank as a depository and affirm Unity Bank as depository.
Next meeting is scheduled for:
• Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 6:00 pm
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Keading seconded by Goss to adjourn the meeting.
Cynthia Anderegg, Secretary/Treasurer
