Planning Commission — Minutes

Approved Minutes Seymour Plan Commission November 13, 2024 The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Seymour Town Hall by Chair Nick Schmock. Members present: Nick Schmock, Joe Kirst, Ken Schick, Loren Gorell, and Thomas Feck. Motion made by Joe Kirst to approve the minutes from the September 5, 2024, meeting. Motion seconded by Thomas Feck. Motion carried. Reviewed responsibilities/topics to address: • Discussed the three-mile Extraterritorial Jurisdiction • Town’s population estimate is 3380 • Survey of residents done in 2019. Not a current need to redo the survey • Discussion of incorporation to a village; Hallie Village/Town was the last to make the change; Town of Washington is in the process of incorporating to a village; estimating a 10-year process • Discussion of re-zoning; Town of Lincoln opted out to follow Eau Claire County zoning; touch base with them next spring for their pros/cons Next meeting’s date and agenda items: • Next meeting will be on February 12, 2205, at 6:00 p.m. at the Seymour Town Hall • Land use issues affecting the Town Meeting was adjourned at 6:48 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Jean Eisold, Clerk/Treasurer
