TOWN OF STAR PRAIRIE WORK SESSION- MINUTES TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026 – 5:30 P.M. STAR PRAIRIE TOWN HALL 2118 COOK DRIVE SOMERSET, WISCONSIN The Town Work Session was called to order by Tom Heintz at 5:34 p.m. in the Star Prairie Town Hall: 2118 Cook Drive, Somerset, WI 54025. Present: Tom Heintz, Darryl Wendt, Michele Hermansen, Brian Duggan and Bob Crotty. St. Croix County Community Development Director Jason Kjeseth, Clerk/Treasurer Andrea Neumann and Mike Michaud were in attendance. Nuisance Property Clean-Up Collaboration with St. Croix County Community Development Department : Board briefly discussed history of zoning violations regarding nuisance properties within the Town of Star Prairie. Town to determine whether an ordinance is required to enable Town to special assess for zoning violations and property clean up. No action taken. Operator’s License Application - Cedar Creek Inn - Lydia Melby : Motion M/S by Bob Crotty/Darryl Wendt to approve the operator license application submitted by Cedar Creek Inn on behalf of Lydia Melby. Motion carried. Appointment of Clerk/Treasurer : Motion M/S by Michele Hermansen/Brian Duggan to appoint Andrea Neumann as the Clerk/Treasurer for a three-year term. Motion carried. Wisconsin Towns Association - St. Croix County Unit Meeting : Clerk to post a quorum notice for the WTA St. Croix County Unit Meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. No action taken. Consideration of Resolution 2026-02: A Resolution Supporting a Comprehensive and Sustainable Transportation Funding Solution : Town Board reviewed resolution proposed by the Wisconsin Towns Association. Motion to M/S by Darryl Wendt/Brian Duggan to adopt Resolution 2026-02. Motion carried.. Town Park Planning - Facility Features and Patio/Pavilion : Town reviewed park designs. St. Croix County Community Development Director Jason Kjeseth indicated there may be park improvement grants available through the Land and Water Conservation Fund. No action taken. Town Roads & Maintenance: St. Croix County has a new engineering supervisor who will take up the Apple River boat landing project and 90th Street. No action taken.
