TOWN OF STAR PRAIRIE TOWN BOARD MEETING - MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2025 – 6:00 P.M. STAR PRAIRIE TOWN HALL 2118 COOK DRIVE, SOMERSET, WISCONSIN The Town Board Meeting was called to order by Tom Heintz at 6:04 p.m. in the Star Prairie Town Hall: 2118 Cook Drive, Somerset, WI 54025. Present were Michele Hermansen, Darryl Wendt, Bob Crotty and Andrea Neumann, Clerk/Treasurer. Tom Heintz and Brian Duggan were absent. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Agenda : Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to approve the agenda, as submitted. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes : Motion M/S by Bob Crotty/Darryl Wendt to approve minutes from the June 3rd Town Board meeting and the June 16th Special Meeting/Work Session, as submitted. Motion carried. Public Comments : Nancy Karastes addressed the Board regarding heavy construction traffic on 195th Avenue. She said construction trucks are breaking off road edges and potholes are getting larger near most-traveled driveway. She also stated there’s a tree down on the North property line of Oakland Cemetery. Treasurer’s Report : Reviewed. No action taken. Building Permits : The June 2025 building permits were read, as reported, by the Building Inspector. Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to accept the report, as submitted. Motion carried. Plan Commission Recommendation - Major Land Division (Final Plat) - Riverdale Estates : Board reviewed final plat submitted by Doug Zahler. Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to approve the Riverdale Estates plat, Job Number: 8184-002, contingent upon the satisfaction of all outstanding requirements including execution and delivery of the development agreement and all exhibits to the agreement, in addition to any other outstanding requirements of the Town engineer or county, and final approval by the Town Attorney. Motion carried. Clerk to have Tom Heintz sign at a later date. Comprehensive Plan Update & Next Meeting : Next meeting for the Comprehensive Plan update is Wednesday, July 16 at 5:30 p.m. Shared Driveway - Treavor Miller at 1018 210th Avenue : Treavor Miller addressed the Board regarding eliminating a shared driveway for his parcel at 1018 210th Avenue. No action was taken. Driveway Variance - Jordan Zentzis at 2083 90th Street : Jordan Zentzis addressed the board regarding a driveway variance to move the proposed driveway on his CSM. Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to grant a variance to move their driveway to the proposed location. Motion carried. Operator License Applications : Motion M/S by Bob Crotty/Darryl Wendt to approve Operator License applications submitted by Alice, Inc. dba River’s Edge on behalf of Kelly Benoit Delisle, Kiahna Gibson, Heather Jacobson. Motion carried. Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to approve Operator License applications submitted by StandByMe LLC dba The Post Bar & Grill on behalf of Brandy Beck, Erin Fenske, Michael Fenske, Haley Swenson and Taryn Iserman. Motion carried. Schedule Monthly Work Session : No work session scheduled. Town of Star Prairie - Town Board Meeting - Tuesday, July 1, 2025 1 of 2 Town Road Maintenance: Road Patching, Repairs, Mowing and Other Issues 195th Street Road Damage : Edges of road are broken off near construction site of 1240 195th Ave Brave Drive : Resident contacted Clerk with questions regarding Brave Drive vs. Shore Drive and reasoning behind Town maintenance. Town wasn’t aware Shore Drive was in its inventory until recent years and it needed to be brought up to spec. Missing Road Sign : Stolen Sign 100th St & 220th Ave; Clerk to contact County Highway to replace. Missing ATV Signs : Darryl Wendt to contact ATV club regarding replacing stolen signs. Pothole : Reported on tail of 80th Street towards County Rd C Approve Payment of Town Bills and Adjourn : Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Bob Crotty to approve town bills and adjourn.
