TOWN OF STAR PRAIRIE WORK SESSION - MINUTES WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2025 – 4:00 P.M. STAR PRAIRIE TOWN HALL 2118 COOK DRIVE, SOMERSET, WISCONSIN The Town Board Meeting was called to order by Tom Heintz at 4:01 p.m. in the Star Prairie Town Hall: 2118 Cook Drive, Somerset, WI 54025. Present were Tom Heintz, Darryl Wendt, Brian Duggan, Bob Crotty and Andrea Neumann, Clerk/Treasurer. Michele Hermansen was absent. James Franklin was also in attendance. Driveway Inquiry : Board reviewed inquiry from James Franklin regarding driveway placement at 2007 126th Street. Franklin had two proposals drafted by a surveyor showing two different driveway placements. Motion M/S by Brian Duggan/Darryl Wendt to approve a driveway placement for the parcel located at 2007 126th Street, to be installed on 200th Avenue no closer than 150’ to the centerline of 126th Street, conditional upon a purchase by James Franklin. Motion carried. Sign Permit : Motion M/S by Brian Duggan/Bob Crotty to approve a sign replacement at 1393 200th Avenue, to include replacement of the same design but placement updated to be perpendicular to Highway 65. Motion carried. Appoint Election Inspectors for 2024-2025 Term : Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Brian Duggan to appoint Karen Roberts, Molly Borgstrom, Kristen Laramy and Terrence Neumann as election inspectors for the 2024-2025 election term. Motion carried. Appoint Chief Election Inspectors for 2024-2025 Term : Motion M/S by Bob Crotty/Brian Duggan to appoint Alara Firman, Patty Schachtner and Jason Zevenbergen as Chief Election Inspectors for the 2024-2025 election term. Motion carried. Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services - Commercial Building Permit : Reviewed permit for NWI Tree Service at 1385 200th Avenue. No action taken. Building Permits : Motion M/S by Darryl Wendt/Brian Duggan to approve the January 2025 building permits submitted by Brian Wert Inspection Agency. Motion carried. Town Ordinance 15-1-15 - Regulations for Moving Buildings : Motion M/S by Darry Wendt/Brian Duggan to approve Ordinance #2025-002. Motion carried. Roads & Maintenance: Board reviewed engineering outline from Ayres for 90th Street. Tom Heintz to contact County Highway about 90th Street project. No action taken. Motion to Adjourn : Motion M/S by Brian Duggan/Bob Crotty to adjourn.
