CITY OF GILLETT PARKS AND CEMETERY COMMITTEE AND PARK AD HOC COMMITTEE Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2024 AT 2:00 PM MINUTES Committee may deviate from the agenda as needed Chairperson Luther called the meeting to order at 2:00 PM. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Jerry Luther and David Bunker Alderperson Irene Drake, Utility Operator Ron Anderson and Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson. Ad Hoc Members Chris Byars and Dawn Byars, Art Barh from MSA, Dan Rammer from MSA, Utility Assistant Tyler Tennessen and Public Works Foreman Nate Anderson. Ashely VanStraten, Deanna Smith, and Mayor Jon Blaskowski are excused. Open Meeting Law has been complied with. Public Input –None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on Minutes from July 30, 2024 MOTION: Bunker/Luther Motion to approve the minutes from July 30, 2024 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on a walk through in the park for the playground grant to see what wants are to be added in the application, location of playground, where utilities are, possible restroom location, where a sidewalk or trail may be, where ADA parking will be, money is budgeted, who is donating or partnering on the project, topo surveying, identify anything that might show up on a diggers request, questions for the application work, Updating the Outdoor Recreational Plan, and pickle ball court problems: Went over specific playground wants with MSA. Talked about ADA compliance with walking paths and bathroom, updating our recreation trail, how to add points to our grant application, and making a list of our donations. 3.
