CITY OF GILLETT PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2026 AT 6:30 PM MINUTES Chairperson Hicks called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Keri Hicks, Matt Young, and Jerry Luther. Also Present: Alderpersons Nanette Mohr, Ashley VanStraten, David Bunker, Mayor Jon Blaskowski, Public Works Department Head Tim Via, and Clerk Chelsea Anderson. Public Input: None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on April 2, 2026 Minutes MOTION: Luther/Young Motion to approve minutes from April 2, 2026. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on part time applications MOTION: Hicks/Luther Motion to offer the part time position to Rachel Via at $14.00 an hour and call the other candidates to see interest and have Public Works Department Head make final opening decision. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Set Next Meeting Date – To be determined. 4. Adjournment at 8:45 PM. MOTION: Luther/Young Motion to adjourn.
