CITY OF GILLETT PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 2026 AT 5:30 PM MINUTES Chairperson Hicks called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Keri Hicks, Matt Young, and Jerry Luther. Also Present: Alderpersons Nanette Mohr, Ashley VanStraten, David Bunker, Mayor Jon Blaskowski, Public Works Department Head Tim Via, and Clerk Chelsea Anderson. Public Input: None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on March 12, 2026 Minutes MOTION: Luther/Young Motion to approve minutes from March 12, 2026. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on new Cold Storage building- Could start in July or August. MOTION: Luther/Young Motion to approve Quality Construction for a total of $96,645.78. 50x64x16 concrete with fiber- mesh and sealed, drain, framing, siding, roofing, soffit, overhang, overhead doors, windows and job site cleanup. Approved ad ons of concrete aprons $5,210 and gutters and downspouts $2,432. Not to exceed $110,000 including electric, to recommend to Council. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Discussion and Possible Action on Truck Route MOTION: Luther/Young Motion to approve the truck route with adjustments. 4. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 5.
