Plan Commission Meeting — Minutes

MINUTES VILLAGE OF SURING PLANNING COMMISSION Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. LEARNING CENTER ROOM II Members present: Kohlwey, Mahoney, L. Steffeck, and M. Steffeck. Also present: Kim Gruetzmacher, Clerk/Treasurer, Trustee Kramp, Trustee Nieling, Art Bahr and Jeff Thelen from MSA. Members absent: Giese and Regal. 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM by Les Steffeck. 2. Review final draft of Comprehensive Plan – Committee reviewed the final draft of the plan and made changes. MSA will update document to be brought to public meeting on November 11, 2025. 3. Review final draft of Outdoor Recreation Plan – Committee reviewed the final draft of the plan and made changes. MSA to update documents and forward to committee for review. 4. Discuss housing brochure - Committee reviewed the housing brochure that will be available for developers in the future. MSA to make appropriate corrections and send final draft to clerk’s office. 5. Motion to approve Resolution 08-2025 Adoption of Recommended 2025 – 2045 Comprehensive Plan with corrections approved by committee made by Kohlwey and second by M. Steffeck. All ayes. Motion carried. 6. Wrap-up/Next Steps – MSA will update documents and get to Village. Public Hearing for Comprehensive Plan scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 5 PM. 7. Adjourn.
