MINUTES MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2026 TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF OCONTO 6120 CREAM CITY ROAD, OCONTO, WI 54153 1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:00 by Chairman Scanlan. Present: Clerk Scanlan, Supervisor Pansier, Supervisor Van Hulle, Treasurer Leonard, Others present see attendance sheet. 2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Pansier 2nd by VanHulle to approve as printed. M/C 4. Approve minutes January 12, 2026, meeting. Motion by Van Hulle 2nd by Scanlan M/C 5. Treasurer’s report: General Checking: Treasurer reported a starting balance of $131,523.09 and January deposits of $192,827.81; February orders total $125,265.06 leaving an ending balance of $199,085.84. Approval of Lottery Credit overpayment refund of $174.96, ending balance in tax account $0 Discussion held regarding a tax payment drop box. Motion by Pansier, 2nd by Van Hulle to approve treasurer’s report and to have minutes reflect it is felt at this time there is no need for the Town of Oconto to have a tax payment drop box at the town hall. M/C 6. Approve Orders for payment: Clerk presented ACH for $1,294.76 for payroll taxes order # 6818 through 6843 which total $125,265.06. Motion by Pansier 2nd by VanHulle to approve orders for payment. M/C 7. Correspondence Received The clerk completed 0 title search forms. Housing Data Survey, completed by R & R Assessing attached for your review. Received Timber Cutting Notice for Larry Mortier, parcel 030-192001032, 030-192000723 Clerk completed the self-certification for year (injury/illness annual report) Received Official Referendum for April ballot for school. See attached. Received inspection report from Oconto Fire Department on 12-11-25. Noted “Keep snow cleared to all exits. Certificate of Insurance received for R & R Assessing, Clerk to file. Oconto Sanitary District #1 January minutes received. Received signed Oconto Co. Recycling Agreement from Patrick Virtues. Received packet of information from Jerome Sandraco, (Florida address). Regarding political newsletter. Clerk will have for your review. 8. Comprehensive Planning Committee: No meeting Page 2 9. Board of Commissioners Public Land Loan for Military Road project. Discussion held. Will continue to review monthly. Likelihood of project being pushed back a year as wetland implications need to be discussed. 10. Approve servers license, Maddie Sikora, Irish Greens. Discussion held. All paperwork is in order. Motion by Pansier, 2nd by Van Hulle to approve. M/C 11. Road Work: Will review paser ratings and have discussion in Spring on road repair. Brushing done on several town roads. Compliment received from Tom Scheffen regarding brushing done around stop sign by Scheffen Lane. 12. County Board update: Rezone meeting held in Lakewood, also public meeting on RV/Camping Ordinance Recommended text amendments was held today. 13. Public comments: 14. Adjourned 6:45pm.
