MINUTES MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2026 TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF OCONTO 6120 CREAM CITY ROAD, OCONTO, WI 54153 1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:00 by Chairman Scanlan. Present: Clerk Scanlan, Supervisor Pansier, Supervisor Van Hulle, Treasurer Leonard, Others present see attendance sheet. 2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Pansier 2nd by VanHulle to approve. M /C 4. Approve minutes July 13, 2026. Motion by Pansier, 2nd by Van Hulle M/C 5. Treasurer’s report: General Checking: Treasurer reported a starting balance of $171,122.38 July deposits of $60,057.70; August orders totaled $62,972.46 leaving an ending balance of $117,932.82. Tax account balance $0. Motion by Pansier, 2nd by Van Hulle to approve treasurer’s report. M/C 6. Approve Orders for payment: Clerk presented ACH for $1,384.17 for payroll taxes order #6941 through 6967 $.62,972.46 Motion by Pansier 2nd by VanHulle to approve orders for payment. M/C 7. Correspondence Received The clerk completed 2 title search forms. Tom Smith Inspections sent following permits: Oconto Airport, 72’ x 88’ airplane hangar Michael Gray, 5314 Cty. S, Oconto, detached accessory building 10x14x9.7 Department of Natural Resources sent letter regarding Manage Forest Tax Land for Eugenia Zak, 030-111100921A Chairman completed driveway permit for Glen Gadwood (Frog Pond Rd) working with DNR on culvert size and all paperwork Oconto County Administrator Chris Firgens sent notice of 5-year plan Oconto County Forestry, Parks and Recreation Department asking for any projects to be submitted before Nov 1, 2026. Received from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a document regarding Environmental Issues for the Planned Northwoods Project. See clerk for copy! State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue sent Notice of Shared Revenue July 2026 Distribution $18,074.61 Notice of School Levy Tax Credit July 2026 distribution Notice of Exempt Computer Aid $11.43 8. Board of Commissioners Public Land Loan for Military Road project. Currently reviewing Right of Way purchase costs. Will continue to review monthly. 9. Comprehensive Planning Committee: No meeting Page 2 10. Discuss 3 year Fire/Ambulance contact for years 2027, 2028 and 2029 with City of Oconto. Discussion held. Motion by Pansier, 2nd by Van Hulle to approve 3 year contract. M/C 11. Library Apportionment update: Next meeting is August 26, 2026, at Lakes Country Library. 12. Road Work: Looking at culvert replacement on Sherman Road. (Bridge Aid) 13. County Board update. Oconto County Highway Department land purchase and bridge replacements. 14. Public comments: Asked about blind spot on Funk and Stiles intersection. Will advise. 15. Adjourned 6:30 pm.
