MINUTES MONDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2025 TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF OCONTO 6120 CREAM CITY ROAD, OCONTO, WI 54153 1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:00 by Chairman Scanlan. Present: Clerk Scanlan, Supervisor Van Hulle, Treasurer Leonard, Others present see attendance sheet. Absent: Supervisor Pansier, 2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Approval of Agenda: Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan to approve as printed. M/C 4. Approve minutes September 8, 2025, meeting. Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan 5. Treasurer’s report: General Checking: Treasurer reported a starting balance of $115,579.90 and September deposits of $214.48; October orders total $65,170.79 leaving an ending balance of $50,623.59 Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan to approve Treasurer’s report. M/C 6. Approve Orders for payment: Clerk presented ACH for $1,432.53 for payroll taxes order # 6741 through 6756 which total $65,170.79. Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan to approve orders for payment. M/C 7. Correspondence Received The clerk completed 4 title search forms. Tom Smith Inspections sent following building permits: Don Richter 3350 Airport Rd. Oconto, 1 story single family permanent $8,000 value, clerk sent. Email to Tom Smith asking for more clarification. Dave Mary Lade, New construction (fire in March) Wisconsin Town’s Association sent notice of Oconto County Unit meeting, October 16, 2025 @ Town of How. 6 pm Notice received from Patrick Viertues, Zoning Administrator, Oconto County Planning and Zoning of approval of Conditional Use permit for Verton Kropf. CWV Properties (Used car dealership) notice of approval of conditional use. Notice of public hearings on 10-13-25 have been posted. Received from Western Surety the Treasurer’s bond. Notice from Dept. of Natural Resources of letter to: Trevor Wahl, resolving all issues and no additional enforcement will be necessary. Peter Kornowski, Cream City Road, regarding driveway being placed on wetlands. Further action will be taken if driveway is not moved by June, 2026. Department of Revenue sent notice of 2026 Shared Revenue: $120,497.41 and our November 2025 shared revenue payment will be $100,192.64.. Notice of Computer Aid $11.43 Department of Transportation sent notice of 2026 estimated Transportation Aid $165,310.60 Brandon Hytinen, Highway Commissioner sent notice of LRIP meeting Friday Oct 10 at 10am. Clerk submitted 2024 wages to American Transparency as per open records request. Page 2 Oconto Sanitary District #1 minutes in your packet (September) Rachel Wilcox, Oconto County sent email requesting review of listing of critical facilities in Town of Oconto. (attached) Any changes/additions? 8. Comprehensive Planning Committee: No meeting 9. Discuss/Approve resolution # 101325-1 Authorization of electronic mail notifications of county ordinance amendments. Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan to approve M/C 10. Discuss/Approve resolution 101325-2 Petition for Bridge Aid (Frog Pond Rd) $5,842.58 Motion by VanHulle 2nd by Scanlan M/C 11. Budget recommendations for November will make update to preliminary budget for November meeting. 12. Election Worker nominations will be made in November. Oath of Office will then be given in December. 13. Road Work: Chairman Scanlan and Supervisor Pansier attended the LRIP meeting. Applications due by December 1, 2025 and LRIP committee meets December 9, 2025. Will keep us posted. 14. Public comments: None 15. Adjourn: Motion by Van Hulle 2nd by Scanlan to adjourn 6.50 pm.
