PROCEEDINGS – July 10, 2023 TOWN OF CHASE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING 1. Call to Order and Roll Call Town Board Chairman, Gary Van Lannen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Chase Town Hall, located at 8481 County Road S, Pulaski WI 54162. Notices were posted in the three town display boxes, which are located at the Town Recycling Center, North Chase Citgo, and South Chase Saloon. Board Members present: Chairman - Gary Van Lannen, Supervisor - Dennis Kroll, Supervisor – Jeff Van Enkevort, Clerk – Jeromy Delebreau, Deputy Clerk – Cindy Kroll, Treasurer – Mae Micolichek 2. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag The Pledge was recited. 3. Approve the Agenda A. Change in Sequence – None. B. Removal of Items – None. 4. Approve Prior Meeting Minutes 5. Present and Approve Bills for Payment Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve the agenda, prior meeting minutes, and bills for payment. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 6. Discuss Committee and Department Reports: a. Financial Report – Treasurer Mae Micolichek Micolichek read the financial report. b. Public Works – Norbert Reinhard Norb Reinhard gave report for Roger Blaies and stated that they have been chipping brush at the composite site, spread wood chips on walking trails, and put up signs. c. Building Inspector – Bobbie Krozell Van Enkevort stated that 8 permits were issued in June for 1 new home, 2 additions, 2 accessory buildings, and 3 driveways. There were also 16 emails and 6 calls. d. Park Commission – Jeff Van Enkevort None. e. Animal Control – Joe Gracyalny None f. Planning Commission – Dennis Kroll Kroll stated there was one request for Justin Rousseau for a CSM that was approved. g. Pulaski Fire Department – Gary Van Lannen None. h. NEW Rescue – Dennis Kroll Kroll stated there was a meeting on June 26, 2023, and they are doing financially sound. i. Oconto County Economic Development (OCED) – Norb Reinhard Jr. None. j. Oconto County Policing Officer – Officer Garrett Baeton stated that there were 96 calls for the month of June. Mainly building checks, traffic stops, and traffic violations. 7. Public Comments (No Action Taken) A community member had a concern about garbage from fireworks in their yard from a neighbor. A neighboring community member gave a presentation on solar power and the impacts and what is occurring in the Town of Morgan. 8. Discuss and Act on Rezone for Justin Rousseau, 8403 Van Dornick Road, Parcel #012- 151500822A, Certified Survey Map. Motion by Kroll/Van Enkevort to approve CSM for Justin Rousseau, 8403 Van Dornick Road, Parcel #012- 151500822A. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 9. Discuss and Act on Open Records Request, Ordinance #O-2023-07-01. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Open Records Request, Ordinance #O-2023-0701. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 10. Discuss and Act on Resolution #R-2023-07-01, Repairs to Shouldering. Motion by Kroll/Van Enkevort to approve resolution #R-2023-07-01, repairs to shouldering. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 11. Discuss and Act on Resolution #R-2023-07-02, Repairs to Bialozynski Road. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve resolution #R-2023-07-02, repairs to Bialozynski. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 12. Discuss and Act on Fuel Tank from ARPA funds. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Fuel Tank from ARPA funds to not exceed $7,000. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 13. Discuss and Act on Mikey Smet’s Auto Salvage contract. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Mikey Smet’s Auto Salvage contract. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 14. Announcements and General Information (No Action Taken) Blood drive for the 12th was canceled. National Night Out 2023 is August 1st from 5 pm to 8 pm. 15.
