Town of Townsend Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting Wednesday, November 6, 2024 The Comprehensive Planning Commission for the Town of Townsend was called to order at 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, by Chairman Tim McGuire Commission members present: Dan DeMoulin, Joanne Jones, Willie Evans, Dave Exferd, Linda Ziegler, Ken Schwebke, Tim McGuire: Jason Towne and 2 citizens Confirm proper posting of meeting notices: The notice was posted at the Townsend Town Hall, Laona State Bank, Townsend location, Townsend Post office and www.townsendwisconsin.org, on, October 25, 2024 and emailed to board members and additional copies were available at the meeting. Evans made the motion to approve the minutes from October 1, 2024 and 2nd by Jones, M/A This is a meeting to discuss a land division on parcel #042-151507131, Sunset Bay Ln, owner Greenville Investments: Jason Towne said they want to create 4 1.52acre parcels on Sunset Bay Lane. McGuire asked if the mining overlay and reclaim had been completed. Towne said the reclaim portion is south of this land division. Greenville Investments has completed the reclaim and received the money back from the county. McGuire asked about the vehicles, ect that are currently on this property. Towne said these items belong to people that want to buy the lots, once approved. Jones asked again when the Planning & Zoning discussed this property prior. Ziegler said we met to rezone this property May 2, 2023 from Forest to R-1 (which was approved by the town board). The land division proposal meets local ordinance standards. The proposal agrees with the Town Vision Statement as found in the Town Comprehensive Plan. The proposal agrees with the Town Goals, Objectives and Developments Strategies as found in the Town Comprehensive Plan. There should be no addition burden on the town regarding roads or electric.
