Committee Chairperson Alderperson Kowalski call ed the Parks and Recreation Committee regular meeting to order at 0 4 :00 PM in the Marinette Council Chambers, 1905 Hall Ave , Marinette WI. 2. Upon a call of the roll , the following Committee member ’s attendance was recorded as follows : MEMBERS PRESENT : Alderpersons Kowalski , Demmith , Keller, Klegin & Karban . ABSENT : OTHERS PRESENT : Mayor Genisot , Police Chief LaCombe , Fire Chief Heckel , Recreation Superintendent Lacy, Director of Tourism and Marketing Katzbeck & Superintendent of Public Works Stewart , Andi Rich, Alderperson Wolfe & Mikutowski. 3. Minutes of Parks and Recreation Committee . Al derperson s K arban moved/ Demmith seconded and all concurred (Keller abstained) to approve the meeting minutes from August 17 TH , 202 6 . 4. Executive Director of Recreation & Events report. Executive Recreation Director Gavin Scray provided his monthly report for September . Recreation Superintendent Adrienne Lacy was present to answer any questions the committee may have. 5. Recreation Superintendent report. Recreation Superintendent Adrienne L acy prov ided her month ly report for September . Recreation Superintendent Lacy was present to answer any questions the committee may have. 6. Public Work ’s Superintendent Report . Superintendent of Public Works Kelly Stewart provided her monthly report for September . Superintendent of Public Works Stewart was present to answer any questions the committee may have. 7. Director of Tourism and Marketing report. Director of Tourism and Marketing Shawn Katzbeck provide d a r eport that included September and future 2026 events and marketing for 2026. 8. Discussion and possible action regarding Civic Center Pool Study. Included in today ’s packet is a proposal from Parkitecture & Planning to review the proposed renovations for the Marinette Civic Center Aquatic Complex. Alderperson Klegin moved/ Keller secnede dad all concurred (Karban opposed) to recommend the Common Council approve the proposal from Park itecture & Planning as presented in the amount of a fixed fee of $24,905. 9.
