Mayor Genisot , City of Marinette Plan Commission Chairperson , called the regular meeting of the City of Marinette Plan Commission to order at 0 3 :30 PM in the Common Council Chambers at Marinette City Hall, 1905 Hall Ave. 2. Upon a call of the ro ll, it was determined a quorum of commission membership was present and the following attendance was recorded: COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Mayor Genisot , Alderperson Skorik , Mike Minzlaff , John Marx & Public Works Director/City Engineer Miller. COMMISSIONER ’S ABSENT: Commissioners Steve Lang & Rick Polzin OTHERS PRESENT: Building Inspector Demlow , Jan Kust & Andrew Hass. 3. Approval of prior Plan Commission meeting minutes. Commissioner Marx moved/ Minzlaff seconded and all concurred to a pprove the City of Marinette Plan Commission ’s July 6, 2026 special meeting and July 15, 2026 regular meeting . 4. Sign Site Plan Site Plan Submitted by Finishing Touch Signs, Wausau, WI, for a sign package consisting of four (4) illuminated signs at Ashley Furniture & Appliance, Pine Tree Mall, 2402 Roosevelt Road, Marinette, WI . Finishing Touch Signs, Wausau, WI, submitted a site plan on July 21, 2026 depicting a sign package consisting of four (4) illuminated signs . Public Works Director & City Engineer Miller and Building Inspector Demlow indicated their review and approval of the plan by signing off on the form prior to today ’s meeting. Commissioners Minzlaff moved/ Mayor Genisot seconded and all concurred to approve , as presented, the aforementioned sign site plan and authorize Building Inspector Demlow to issue a sign permit authorizing the sign package consisting of four (4) illuminated signs at Ashley Furniture & Appliance, Pine Tree Mall, 2402 Roosevelt Road, Marinette, WI ., which is located within a “ B-4 ” Highway Business Zoned District. 5. S ite plan for Peshtigo Asphalt, Peshtigo, WI, for the resurfacing of the existing paved parking lot at North Shore Church, 115 Hancock Street, Marinette, WI . Peshtigo Asphalt , submitted a site plan on July 21, 2026 depicting resurfacing an existing parking lot . Public Works Director & City Engineer Miller, Fire Chief Heckel, Water/Waste Water Manager Aschbacher and Building Inspector Demlow indicated their review and approval of the plan by signing off on the form prior to today ’s meeting. Commissioner s Marx moved/ Minzlaff seconded and all concurred, to approve , as presented , the aforementioned resurfacing of the existing paved parking lot site plan and authorize Building Inspector Demlow to issue a building permit authorizing the aforementioned resurfacing of the existing paved parking lot at North Shore Church, 115 Hancock Street, Marinette, WI. , which is located within a “ R-2 ” One- and Two-Family Residential District. 6. Sign site plan submitted by Stratford Sign Company, LLC, Stratford, WI, f or a sign package replacement consisting of three (3) illuminated signs at Dollar Loan Center, 2910 Roosevelt Road, Marinette, WI . Stratford Sign Company, LLC submitted a sign site plan application on July 24, 2026, depicting replacement of three (3) illuminated signs . Public Works Director & City Engineer Miller and Building Inspector Demlow indicated their review and approval of the plan by signing off on the form prior to today ’s meeting. Commissioner Minzlaff moved/Marx seconded and all concurred, to approve, as presented, the aforementioned sign site plan replacement of three (3) illuminated signs and authorize Building Inspector Demlow to issue a permit authorizing the sign package replacement consisting of three (3) illuminated signs at Dollar Loan Center, 2910 Roosevelt Road, Marinette, WI ., which is located within a “ B- 4 ” Commercial Zoned District. 7. Sign site plan for submitted by Carlson Asphalt, Peshtigo, WI, for the resurfacing of the existing pave parking lot at Andy ’s Auto Repair, 1368 Main Street, Marinette, WI . Carlson Asphalt , submitted a site plan application on behalf of Andy ’s Auto Repair, 1368 Main Street, on August 10 2026depicting resurfacing of the existing pave parking lot . Public Works Director / City Engineer Miller, Fire Chief Heckel, Water/Waste Water Manager Aschbacher and Building Inspector Demlow indicated their review and approval of the plan by signing off on the form prior to today ’s meeting. Sign site plan submitted by Creative Sign Company, Green Bay, WI, for a sign package consisting of two (2) illuminated signs at Jersey Mike ’s, 4100 Frontage Road, Marinette, WI . Creative sign Company, submitted a sign site plan application on July 17 , 2026, depicting two (2) illuminated signs. Public Works Director & City Engineer Miller and Building Inspector Demlow indicated their review and approval of the plan by signing off on the form prior to today ’s meeting. Commissioner Minzlaff moved/ Mayor Genisot seconded and all concurred, to approve, as presented, the aforementioned sign site plan consisting of one ( 1 ) illuminated sign on the front of the building and authorize Building Inspector Demlow to issue a sign permit authorizing the sign package consisting of one ( 1 ) illuminated sign at Jersey Mike ’s, 4100 Frontage Road, Marinette, WI. which is located within a “ B-4 ” Highway Business Zoned District. 9. Future agenda items . Discussion regarding Z oning Plan for UW Fieldhouse and all Institutional properties 10. ADJOURNMENT.
