MINUTES FINANCE & CLAIMS WEDNESDAY – AUGUST 26, 2026 – 8:00 A.M. COMMON COUNCIL, MUNICIPAL BUILDING Members present: Chair Deborah Sievert, Brigitte Schmidt and Robert Warren. Others Attending: Mayor Katie Berman, Clerk-Treasurer Tammy Kasal, and Police Chief Derek Koronkiewicz. Chair Sievert called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. Motion by Sievert and seconded by Warren to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 3/0. Minutes: Motion by Sievert and seconded by Schmidt to approve the July 22, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried 3/0. Disbursements: Disbursements were reviewed. Motion by Sievert and seconded by Schmidt to approve the disbursements. Motion carried 3/0. RLF/UDAG loans and payments: RLF/UDAG loans and payments were reviewed. Schedule of Appropriation Entries: Clerk-Treasurer Kasal presented August 2026 Appropriation Entries of $ 23,929.50. Adjustments were reviewed and discussed. Motion by Warren and seconded by Schmidt recommending Council approve the $23,929.50 August 2026 Budget Adjustments and Transfers. Motion carried 3/0. Such other Matters: Police Chief Koronkiewicz reported the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department will no longer do mental health transports to facilities starting January 1, 2027. The City of Peshtigo will need to budget for overtime staffing starting in 2027.
