CALL TO ORDER
Committee Members enter Per Diem and Mileage
The Judicial General Government Committee was called to order at 3:33 P.M.
Members Present: Supervisor Bassett, Supervisor Oehlke, Supervisor Stingle and Supervisor Bachman.
Members Excused: Supervisor Potocki.
Staff Attending: Family Court Commissioner Kessler, Register of Deeds Wisinski, Director Hake, Director Schultz, Director Jossie,
Gretchen Hintz, William Hlavac, County Executive Olson and Judge Baker.

1. Special Meeting Attendance Reports (Portage County Ordinance 3.1.47 & 3.1.48)

with such comments subject to the public comment ordinance and the reasonable control of the Committee Chair as set forth
in Robert’s Rules of Order.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
2. August 24, 2026 minutes
A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke, seconded by Supervisor Stingle to approve the August 24, 2026 meeting minutes as
presented. Motion to approve carried by voice vote with no negative votes.
DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION
3. Discussion/Possible Action: Transferring Justice Programs and its staff into the Health and Human Services
Department and revising the corresponding code of ordinances sections.
A motion was made by Supervisor Bachman and seconded by Supervisor Stingle to adopt the resolution transferring Justice
Programs and its staff into the Health and Human Services Department and revising the corresponding code of ordinances
sections. Motion approved by voice vote with no negative votes.
4. Discussion/Possible Action regarding 2027 New Position Request -Family Court Commissioner-Administrative
Associate III- 10 hours/week.

A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke and seconded by Supervisor Bachmann to approve the 2027 new position request for the
Family Court Commissioner Administrative Associate III additional 10 hours per week. Motion to approve carried by voice vote with
no negative votes.
