ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES Town of Peshtigo Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 6pm 36 residents present- sign in sheet attached. 1) Call to order: Chairperson Friday called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. 2) Pledge of allegiance 3) Minute Approval a. 4/16/2024 Annual Town Meeting: Scott Beatty motion to approve/Second by Janice Wortner. Motion carried with majority yes. b. 11/19/2024 Special Town Meeting: Clarence Coble motion to approve/Second by Julie Beyer. Motion carried with majority yes. 4) Financial Review: No discussion. 5) Next Annual Town Meeting: Tuesday April 21, 2026 6) Discussion and potential action on matters of interest to Town electors (discussions are subject to a motion and a second by Town residents) a. Motion by Adam Steeber to combine the office of Clerk and Treasurer/Second by Connie Hass. Motion failed. Yay (11/36), Nay (25/36) b. Advisory motion by Adam Steeber to move the Clerk position from appointed to elected/Second by Connie Hass. Advisory motion failed by majority no. c. Advisory motion by Candi Buchenauer to have PFAS discussed at every meeting/Second by Betsy Jaeger. Advisory motion passed by majority yes. d. Motion made by Adam Steeber to increase a tax levy toward EPA funds. Motion withdrawn. e. Advisory motion by Cindy Baur (amended by Trygve Rhude/Cindy Baur) to have public comment with unlimited time and topics/Second by Candi Buchenauer. Advisory motion failed. Yay (15/36), Nay (18/36), Abstain (3/36) f. Advisory motion by Jodi Maney (amended by Clarence Coble/Jodi Maney) to move the Treasurer position from appointed to elected, if the Clerk position was to be the same/Second by Adam Steeber. Advisory motion failed with majority no. g. Motion by Mike Folgert to authorize the Town to sell surplus equipment, continuing motion/Second by Steve Wolfe. Motion carried with majority yes. h. Advisory motion by Adam Steeber to add to the Town Comprehensive Plan a project for a decentralized water system with easements/Second by Cindy Baur. Advisory motion carried.
