Compartment doors and steps on Engine 207 were repainted to fix some corrosion. Our old engine 205 will be offered for sale as surplus starting next week. An insurance claim has been submitted for body work to Brush 1 due to damage from a deer collision while responding to a fire. Fire Prevention, Education and Community Involvement: Fire inspections are currently underway for all town businesses. Some common code violations being encountered include improper use of electrical cords and multi-plug adapters. Fund Raising & Donations: TOPFD Supporter T-Shirts are still available for $25 each with proceeds going to raise funds for the purchase of equipment for our new engine. Two local businesses are conducting fund-raising raffles that will benefit TOPFD. These include Bergeson Excavating with a Kid’s ATV raffle drawing on July 4th and The Windjammer with a commemorative Henry Rifle raffle drawing on Sept. 11th. We appreciate their support. Personnel: One new applicant is scheduled for medical testing later this week as a condition of hire. Our roster currently stands at 20 volunteer firefighters. We are currently accepting applications.
