TOWN OF PORTERFIELD Monthly Town Board Meeting July 8, 2026 Chairperson Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:00 pm with 12 in attendance. Amy Linstad was unable to attend. Zak Albrecht made a motion to accept the agenda as listed. Dennis Bergeson second the motion. Roll Call: Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Agenda approved. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the past minutes as read. Dennis Bergeson second the motion. Roll Call: Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Minutes approved. Audrey Guseck gave the treasurer’s report noting the total cash on hand as of May 31, 2026 was $556,700.58. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Dennis Bergeson second the motion. Roll Call: Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Report approved. Open floor: There was discussion on Hwy 180 speed limits in the 45 MPH zone and a possible speed study. Roadwork: Culverts are being replaced on Winesville, Vista, Schwalla, and Deer. Roadwork will be started as schedules allow. Fire Department: They took care of trees down. Cemetery Committee: All good. Recycling: It was very busy Tuesday, with being closed on the 4th of July. The gates need to be closed after use. Building permits: No one present. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. The next Monthly Town Board Meeting will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 6 pm at the Porterfield Town Hall. Zak Albrecht made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 pm.
