TOWN OF PORTERFIELD Monthly Town Board Meeting June 10, 2026 Chairperson Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:02 pm with 11 in attendance. Amy Linstad made a motion to accept the agenda as listed. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Agenda approved. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the past minutes as read. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Minutes approved. Zak Albrecht gave the treasurer’s report noting the total cash on hand as of May 31, 2026 was $590,319.48. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Dennis Bergeson second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Report approved. Open floor: Tom Buelteman mentioned the meeting is now June 16th that was canceled at Bayshore UW Campus about the Stephenson Library and Fieldhouse. No public comments, however; the public is welcome. Dennis received a call asking to lower the speed zone on Hwy 180 from 45 to 35. He is waiting for more information. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the Cigarette Licenses for the Pit Stop and Green Acres; the Liquor License for The Kickback, River’s Edge, Green Acres, Moose Lodge, Corner Grille, and Pit Stop. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the Operator’s licenses as listed for the Town of Porterfield. Amy Linstad second the motion. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the Fire Works Permit for the Moose Lodge for August 1st and a rain date August 2nd. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Amy Linstad made a motion to hire Logan Krueger as our Building Inspector for the term of July 2026 through June 2029 contract. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Motion approved. Tom Boehmke rescinded his application. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the Town of Porterfield Municipal Court Bond Schedule increase. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Motion approved. Roadwork: Double chip seal will be done on Winesville W., Deer Ln., Vista Dr., and Weidner Rd. Paving Schwalla Dr. Several culverts will be replaced during road reconstruction and improvements. Patching and brush cutting will be done. Amy Linstad made a motion on selling the strip of land near Popple Rd., parcel #: 026- 00837.001 to Joe Delfosse. There was discussion. Dennis Bergeson second the motion. Zak Albrecht made a motion on swearing in Dan Brissette as a Fire Commission Member. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Motion approved. Dan Brissette was sworn in as a Fire Commission Member. Zak Albrecht made a motion on Paying the Fire Dept the fee of $11,500.00 to start the analysis, assessment, and programming study. (This fee is per each town). Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Motion approved. Cemetery Committee: Nothing to update. Recycling: There was discussion about the roof over the compactor. Building permits: Four garages, 1 electric, 1 mobile home. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. The next monthly meeting will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 6 pm at the Porterfield Town Hall. Zak Albrecht made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 pm. Amy Linstad second the motion.
