TOWN OF PORTERFIELD Monthly Town Board Meeting April 21, 2026 Chairperson Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:28 pm with 12 in attendance. Amy Linstad made a motion to accept the agenda as listed. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Agenda approved. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the past minutes as printed. It was miss read. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Minutes approved. Audrey Guseck gave the treasurer’s report noting the total cash on hand as of March 31, 2026 was $660,960.85. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Report approved. Open floor: Tom Buelteman mentioned his next term starts today and thanked everyone for voting. There is a resolution waiting on the future of NWTC Marinette Campus and the Stephenson Public Library and he asks for input. Dennis Bergeson thanked the plow drivers, Richlen Excavating, and 180 Auto for all the help with the snow storm. There were no operator’s licenses this month. Roadwork: 2 roads were under water; Schroeder Road and Riverview Drive. Roads will be graded soon. Fire Department: no one present. Cemetery Committee: All good. Recycling: All good. There was discussion about building a roof over the compactor. Building permits: Two permits from Logan and Bryan is finishing up. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. The next monthly meeting will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 6 pm at the Porterfield Town Hall. Zak Albrecht made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 pm. Amy Linstad second the motion.
