TOWN OF PORTERFIELD MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MEETING November 12, 2025 Chairperson, Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:14 PM with 14 in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was previously recited at the beginning of our Budget Hearing. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the agenda as printed. Zak Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes. Agenda approved. Zal Albrecht made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Amy Linstad seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes. Minutes approved. Audrey Guseck gave the Treasurer’s Report noting the total cash on hand as of October 31, 2025, was $308,449.37. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. Zak Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes. Report approved. Open Floor: There were discussions by town residents in regards to snowplowing, abandoned boats, and road repair. A resident inquired about how many dwellings are allowed on a parcel of property. Supervisor Tom Buelteman discussed the County budget as well as a $1.5 million Referendum coming this spring to help operate the departments. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the 2026 Town Budget of $1,144,647.15. Amy Linstad seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes. Budget approved. There were 2 operator’s licenses for the Moose Lodge. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the operator’s licenses for Casey Reif and Theresa Ryan. Zak Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes. Motion approved. Roadwork - Schwalla Dr. has been graveled, Deer Ln. was re-graveled. We are waiting on pricing for future road projects. Fire Commission – No one present at tonight’s meeting. Cemetery Committee – All good. Recycling Center – Branches need to be mulched and low spots in the driveway need to be filled in. Building Permits – 2 permits were taken care of last month. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. Zal Albrecht made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 PM. Amy Linstad seconded the motion.
