TOWN OF PORTERFIELD Monthly Town Board Meeting August 13, 2025 Chairperson Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:12 PM with 22 in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Zak Albrecht made a motion to accept the agenda as listed. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Agenda approved. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the past minutes as read. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Minutes approved. Audrey Guseck gave the treasurer’s report noting the total cash on hand as of July 31, 2025 was $424,806.71. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Report approved. Open floor: There was discussion from town residents about the condition of Winesville Road, Deer Lane, and Vista Drive. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve to pay Taylor Enterprises for Anderson Road. Zak Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes. Motion approved. Roadwork: Sandberg Road paved and shouldered; Peters Road wedged and chip sealed. Anderson Road paved and shouldered to the Recycling Center. Remaining portion wedged and chip sealed. Winesville will be pulverized, graveled, paved, and shouldered from Farm Road to Miles Road. Fire Department: No one present at tonight’s meeting. Cemetery Committee: All good. Recycling: Tuesdays are increasing with business. The last Tuesday the Recycling Center to be open for the summer will be August 29th, then back to just the Saturday hours. Appreciation was given for the road work done on Anderson Road. Building permits: Two new homes this month. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. The next meeting will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 6 PM at the Porterfield Town Hall.
