TOWN OF PORTERFIELD Monthly Town Board Meeting April 15, 2025 Chairperson Dennis Bergeson called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:47 PM with 10 in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was previously recited. Amy Linstad made a motion to accept the agenda as listed. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy LInstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Agenda approved. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the past minutes as read. Zak Albrecht second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Minutes approved. Wendell Philipps and Audrey Guseck gave the treasurer’s report noting the total cash on hand as of March 31, 2025 was $376,475.82. Zak Albrecht made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Amy Linstad second the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad - yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson - yes. Report approved. There was nothing during open floor. Amy Linstad made a motion to approve the operator’s license for Logan Holder, Matt Knudson, and Michael Brien for the Porterfield Pit Stop. Zac Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes. Licenses approved. Roadwork: We will be starting to patch very soon and weight limits will be taken off on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 7 AM. Zak Albrecht made a motion to grade the town roads. Amy Linstad seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zak Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes. Motion approved. Fire Department: Wade Larsen stated there was a grass fire and they set up a helicopter landing for an accident. Cemetery Committee: nothing new Recycling: nothing at this time Building permits: Amy Linstad made a motion to hire ProCheck Inspections, LLC; Bryan Lauritzen; to be our building inspector from May 2025 through April 2026. Zac Albrecht seconded the motion. Roll Call: Amy Linstad – yes, Zac Albrecht – yes, Dennis Bergeson – yes. Motion approved. Correspondence was read and bills were paid. The next meeting will be a week later than normal, Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 6 PM at the Porterfield Town Hall. Zak Albrecht made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 PM.
