Members Present: Attending In-Person: Supervisors Dax Burroughs, Suzanne Oehlke, Scott Soik, and Nathan Sandwick Attending Online: Supervisor Nancy Eggleston Staff Attending: County Clerk Davis, Corporation Counsel Hickethier, County Executive Olson and Finance Director Jossie Others Attending: Member of the public REPORTS 1. Corporation Counsel - Office Operations and Activities Corporation Counsel Hickethier reported on his department. 2. County Clerk - Office Operations and Activities County Clerk Davis reported on her department. 3. Special Meeting Attendance Reports (Portage County Ordinance 3.1.47 & 3.1.48) None. PUBLIC NOTICE Members of the public who wish to address the Committee on specific agenda items must register their request at this time, with such comments subject to the public comment ordinance and the reasonable control of the Committee Chair as set forth in Robert’s Rules of Order. None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 4. August 4, 2026 Minutes A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke, seconded by Supervisor Sandwick, to approve the minutes. Motion to approve carried by voice vote, with no negative votes. CONFIRMATION OF COUNTY EXECUTIVE REAPPOINTMENT 5. Reappointment of Christian Budzinski as a citizen member to the Housing Authority Board for a five-year term expiring September 30, 2031 A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke, seconded by Supervisor Soik, to approve the reappointment. Motion to approve carried by voice vote, with no negative votes. Reappointment of JR Wynne as a citizen member to the Portage County Transportation Coordinating Committee for the remainder of a three-year term expiring April 19, 2027. Chair Burroughs stated if there were no objections, they would like to consider agenda items 6-7 with one motion. A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke, seconded by Supervisor Soik, to approve all appointments. Motion to approve carried by voice vote, with no negative votes. 7. Appointment of Mary Lemer as a citizen member to the Portage County Transportation Coordinating Committee for the remainder of a three-year term expiring April 19, 2027. Chair Burroughs stated if there were no objections, they would like to consider agenda items 6-7 with one motion. A motion was made by Supervisor Oehlke, seconded by Supervisor Soik, to approve all appointments. Motion to approve carried by voice vote, with no negative votes. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION 8. Motion to approve carried by voice vote, with no negative votes. 9. Discussion/Possible Action Re: Approval of Special Meeting Reports/Payment Authorization Requests A motion was made by Supervisor Sandwick, seconded by Supervisor Oehlke, to approve the special meeting reports/payment authorization requests.
