Will have the annual report next month. The road crew has been out sanding and patching roads and working on the trucks to make sure they are good to go for snowplowing. They got three beavers out of the dam and it’s not filling back up. The Parks and Rec committee thanked Bob and Deb Hickey for their involvement and continued support with the Parks and Rec but they have both come to a mutual agreement that they would be stepping down. Tilly Wollenburg and Kristin Hacker were brought on as their replacements. Supervisor Magley made a motion to accept Tilly and Kristin on the committee and Supervisor Campbell seconded it. Paul would like approval from the board to get bids for the logging at the ballpark and the adjacent property. Ron made a motion to get a hold of Hugh Guy to survey and also get a hold of some loggers. Supervisor Campbell seconded it. They now have their band for the dance and are selling tickets. They are looking for volunteers. Paul presented their mission statement to the board. Colleen Mattison wants to put a sign outside her home on the south side for the insurance company. Will have to determine where it will be put. Shawn had an energy audit done and it will cost $4,279.00 for the community center. Will pay itself off in 4 to 5 years. The Fire Dept will cost $2,076.00 and will pay itself off before 5 years. Supervisor Magley made a motion to approve to lock in the prices and Supervisor Campbell seconded. Shawn will email them and let them know we accepted it. Shawn went through the financials to make sure everything matched up and suggested that we get an audit done to clear everything up. Supervisor Magley made a motion to go ahead with it and Supervisor Campbell seconded it. Patty will get a hold of Kerber and Rose to let them know we are proceeding with the audit. Nikki Werner presented the board with a petition with 131 signatures to rename the ballpark after her father in law Russell Werner. Russ was a great coach and helped with building the ballpark. The ballplayers that played for Coach Werner remember him fondly and at 85 years of age he remembers every game and and every player. He misses coaching. Ron explained that the Parks and Rec already had a plan for a plaque for Russ Werner in the works. He talked about the plans for the ballpark and that people need to help out and volunteer instead of bashing and complaining. They were going to have Russ throw out the first pitch and a plaque presented to him. Ron further explained that it was unfair to take a town thing and change it to a personal thing. Paul suggested a standardized plaque to be fair to everyone. He further talked about how no one cared enough to keep up the ballpark and let it go. The Park and Rec committee want to bring it back and would like everyone to work together. Nikki Werner will meet with the Park and Rec committee to design the plaque. Pat Wontor talked about the history of the ballpark and how it all started. She also mentioned next year will be the 40th anniversary. The citizens gave her a standing ovation for a great speech. Supervisor Magley made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Supervisor Cambell seconded it. Meeting was adjourned at 7:09 pm.
