This hearing has been scheduled in accordance with Wisconsin State Statute §62.13(5) upon receipt of a formal citizen complaint against a police officer employed by the Village of Lake Hallie Police Department. The purpose of this public hearing is to review the information presented by the complainant in support of the complaint and to determine whether the allegations, if proven, may constitute a violation that could result in suspension, demotion, or discharge of the officer. The complainant may attend the public hearing and may be represented by counsel. The Police Commission will review only the information and documentation presented by the complainant at this stage. Should the Commission determine that the information suppo rts a potential violation warranting further review, the matter will be scheduled for a “just cause” hearing pursuant to Wis. Stat. §62.13(5)(em)1–7. Members of the public may attend this hearing. The Commission reserves the right to enter closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes if confidential or personnel matters arise. Dated this 14 th day of October, 2025.
