TOWN OF WHEATON SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, April 21, 2026 The meeting has been properly noticed per Wisconsin Statute 19.84 2) The meeting was called to order at 8:16pm. 3) Roll call was taken and the following members were present: Ms. Miller, Mr. Deutscher, Mr. Books, Mr. Gutsch, Mr. Kohls, and Mr. Harmon. Ms. Rudd was absent. 4) A motion was made by Books/Harmon to approve the agenda. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. 5) Fire Chief Adam Blaskowski presented a proposal for the purchase of SCBA equipment. The board discussed possible options for purchasing SCBA equipment and how to fund the purchase. A motion was made by Mr. Books to table a decision on purchasing SCBA equipment to the May board meeting. The motion failed due to the lack of a second. A motion was made by Harmon/Kohls to purchase 24 complete SCBA units at a cost of $251,000. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote. The board will adjust the 2026 budget to fund this purchase. 6) A motion by Books/Harmon was made to adjourn. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote at 9:26 pm.
