Fire Commission Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF WHEATON FIRE COMMISION MEETING MINUTES Monday May 22nd, 2025 1) The meeting has been properly posted (per Wisconsin Statute 19.84) 2) The meeting was called to order at 6:31 PM by chairman Quinnell with the Pledge of Allegiance being recited and a moment of silence being observed. 3) Roll call was taken, all members present. 4) A motion was made by Krumenauer, a second by Jones to approve the agenda. 5) A motion was made by Jones, a second by Krumenauer to approve the WFC minutes of the May 7th, 2025 meeting. 6) There was no public comment. 7) Unfinished business: - Fire Chief evaluation form was approved with a motion by Krumenauer and a second by Jones. - Creation of a fire commissioners “guide book” tabled. 8) New Business: - Fire Chief job description, Fire Chief job posting update per Town Board- was tabled. - Commission members input on proposed updates to the Fire Department ordinance draft. Approved with a motion by Jones and a second by Krumenauer. 9) Proposed potential agenda items for next meeting: - Reviewing applicants for Fire Chief. Next meeting date: June 11th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Wheaton Town Hall. Meeting adjourned at 7:08 PM, motion by Jones with a second by Krumenauer.
