Fire Commission Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF WHEATON FIRE COMMISION MEETING MINUTES Monday May 7th, 2025 1) The meeting has been properly posted (per Wisconsin Statute 19.84) 2) The meeting was called to order at 6:31 PM by chairman Quinnell with the Pledge of Allegiance being recited and a moment of silence being observed. 3) Roll call was taken, all members present. 4) A motion was made by Krumenauer, a second by Jones to approve the WFC minutes of the April 28th, 2025 meeting and the agenda. With the following amendments to the agenda: - The April 11th meeting minutes were changed to April 28th, with a motion by Jones and second by Krumenauer to approve. - Under unfinished business the fire commission members discussion on proposed fire department ordinance draft was changed to: Review/discuss/act on proposed fire department ordinance draft. 5) There was no public comment. 6) Unfinished business: - Fire Chief evaluation form- tabled. - Creation of a fire commissioners “guide book” tabled. - Fire Chief job description- Approved with a motion by Jones and a second by Krumenauer. - Proposed fire department ordinance draft- approval to submit proposed changes with a motion by Jones and second by Krumenauer. Next meeting date: May 22nd, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Wheaton Town Hall. Meeting adjourned at 8:47 PM, motion by Jones with a second by Krumenauer.
