Fire Commission Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF WHEATON FIRE COMMISION MEETING MINUTES Monday April 28th, 2025 1) The meeting has been properly posted (per Wisconsin Statute 19.84) 2) The meeting was called to order at 6:32 PM by chairman Quinnell with the Pledge of Allegiance being recited and a moment of silence being observed. 3) Roll call was taken, all members present. 4) A motion was made by Jones, a second by Krumenauer to approve the agenda and WFC minutes of April 11th, 2025 meeting minutes. 5) There was no public comment. 6) Unfinished business: - Fire Chief evaluation form- tabled. - Creation of a fire commissioners “guide book” tabled. - Fire Chief job description- reviewed and tabled. - Fire Chief qualifications/preferences/recommendations for upcoming Chief appointment process- discussed and tabled. - Fire commission members discussion on proposed fire department ordinance draft- discussed and tabled. 7) New Business: - Fire commission members discuss/ act on fire chief posting with the intended posting date of May 1st. It was approved with a motion by Jones and a second by Krumenauer. With a posting end date of May 31st at 5 PM. Next meeting date: May 7th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Wheaton Town Hall. Meeting adjourned at 7:24 PM, motion by Krumenauer with a second by Jones.
