Verify Open Meeting Notice & Roll Call: The open meeting notice was verified. Chairman Maurice King,
Supervisor LeRoy Pukrop, Supervisor Dennis Meis, Clerk Angela Lochinger, and Treasurer Lori Kolodziej
were present. 1 town residents and/or visitors were present.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairman King at 4:15 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance
was recited.
Discussion/Action on a motion to enter into Closed Session per Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider
employment candidate(s) for town road & maintenance employee position: Supervisor Meis motioned
to enter into Closed Session per Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment candidate(s) for town
road & maintenance employee position at 4:16 p.m. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The motion passed
3-0.
Supervisor Meis moved to reconvene in open session at 5:06 p.m. Supervisor Pukrop seconded. The
motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on hiring of candidate for town road & maintenance employee position: The board
discussed the candidate’s qualifications and experience, job duties, CDL requirement, pre-employment
physical and drug and alcohol screening, and a July 6, 2026 start date.
Supervisor Pukrop motioned to hire Rick Hetzel as the full-time town road & maintenance employee.
Supervisor Meis seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Discussion/Action on compensation for new town road & maintenance employee: The board discussed
pay, employee benefits, CDL training, and health insurance options.
Supervisor Meis motioned to approve compensation of $25 per hour, one week of paid vacation, paid
holidays after 90 days of employment, town-paid Class B CDL training subject to a prorated repayment
agreement if Hetzel leaves town employment, and the town and Hetzel working together to obtain
health insurance coverage. Supervisor Purkop seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Adjournment: Chairman King adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
