Town of Sturgeon Bay Door County – Sturgeon Bay WI Website: Townofsturgeonbay-wi.gov Town Board Meeting Minutes Monday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m. Location: Arle Memorial Hall, 692 Tacoma Beach Road 1. Call to Order at 6:00 pm 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Establish a Quorum/Members Present – Quorum satisfied. Feuerstein, Torp and Robertson in attendance along with Clerk Sternard and Treasurer Delair. 4. Adopt agenda/properly noticed M: Feuerstein S: Torp; Motion carried by voice vote. 5. Approve Minutes from October 13, 2025 Town Board Meeting - posted on town website M: Feuerstein S: Robertson; Motion carried by voice vote. 6. Treasurers Report reported by Delair. Current deposit balances = $93631.13 in checking & $41813.56 in money market. M: Feuerstein S: Torp; Motion carried by voice vote. 7. Broadband Committee Report ● Meeting minutes posted on the website ● Lynne Gustafson inquired on how the town is paying for this project. Chair Feuerstein referenced prior analysis and approval, via a tax levy. Chair Feuerstein to share with Supervisors, so residents can contact them with questions. 8. County Board Report – presented by Hugh Zettel, summary of October 28, 2025 County Board Meeting. 9. Roads and/or Parks: ● Completed Road Projects o Fahrner has completed crack fill and patch work. o PASER rating is complete o WISLR map – signed and returned to state ● Miscellaneous o Damage to Lake Lane from RV/Crosby Towing ▪ Property has been repaired. Submitting repair cost to insurance. ● Future needs o Fall road tour summary to be completed week of November 10 10. Old Business – Discussion/Action ● Dretzer ROW– materials remain. o Draft letter from town attorney o Not a new issue. Previous boards required removal of material in ROW ● Blue signs – majority of install complete for Town of Sturgeon Bay, Clay Banks, Union and Brussels. Waiting for materials for balance to be done. ● Open Supervisor Position – Skipp Robertson has filled this position. ● Record retention. 11. New Business – Discussion/Action ● Bid out any brushing or canopy work identified in road tour ● Discuss placing chipped material in ROW to reduce cost. ● Clerk to work with Kerber Rose in 2026 on payroll requirements for election workers to ensure compliance 12. Correspondence ● Assessor has advised reval needs to be completed again in 2026 due to his miscalculation. Essentially state values increased more than assessor utilized; town is at 87% and needs to be at 90%; town is out of compliance. More to follow next year. 13. Public Comment ● Lynne Gustafson questioned why the 2026 budget was not published in the Pulse. Requirement is posting in 3 places, which the Town has done. Arle Hall, Rod and Gun Club and 27 Pines. Detailed budget has been posted on the Town website. Copies will be sent to Supervisors so they can field questions from residents.
