Town of Sturgeon Bay Door County – Sturgeon Bay WI Website: Townofsturgeonbay-wi.gov Town Board Meeting Minutes Monday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m. Location: Arle Memorial Hall, 692 Tacoma Beach Road 1. Call to Order 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Establish a Quorum/Members Present – Quorum satisfied. Feuerstein and Torp in attendance along with Clerk Sternard and Treasurer DeLair. 4. Adopt agenda/properly noticed M: Feuerstein S: Torp; Motion carried by voice vote. 5. Approve Minutes from September 8, 2025 Town Board Meeting - posted on town website M: Feuerstein S: Torp; Motion carried by voice vote. 6. Southern Door School District Presentation – Kevin Krutzik, Superintendent and Heather Krauter, Business Manager. They requested Strategic Priorities survey be completed by anyone who lives in the district. Contact Kevin Krutzik at 920-825-7155, extension 5510. Survey included in minutes. 7. Treasurers Report reported by DeLair. Current deposit balances = $85,756.94 in checking & $41,808.23 in money market. M: Feuerstein S: Torp; Motion carried by voice vote. 8. Broadband Committee Report ● Meeting minutes to be posted on the website as soon as they are complete. ● Most of Town completed by late summer 2026 9. County Board Report – presented by Hugh Zettel, summary of September 25, 2025 County Board Meeting. Report included in minutes. 10. Roads and/or Parks: ● Completed Road Projects o Culvert on Ridge & Paving on Blue Ridge o Dying ash at 3018 Canal Rd was cut down; County called to remove. ● Miscellaneous o Damage to Lake Lane from RV/Crosby Towing ▪ Property has been repaired. Waiting on invoice from Cty to submit to insurance. ● Future needs; upcoming Fall road tour summary o Shiloh Rd – edges are deteriorating o Culvert on Lake – between Shiloh and County U – dip o Culvert on Silverdale – Shiloh o Tree by 27 Pines should be removed o Culvert on Sand Ln/Lake Ln o 5807 Silverdale – heading east toward U – limited visibility for traffic o Fall road tour summary will be included in next meeting agenda 11. Old Business – Discussion/Action ● Dretzer ROW– materials remain. Feuerstein contacted Tony Hayes, Dennis Hayes, Rose Hayes and Larry Madden again after last meeting. Town Attorney contacted to pursue. Legal fees to be charged to parties involved; letters have been sent. o Discussion regarding status of the situation occurred. ● Blue signs – initial install complete. Waiting for materials for balance to be done. ● Open Supervisor Position – ad is in Pulse. Open meeting on October 17, 2025. ● Record retention. Still reviewing requirements. 12. New Business – Discussion/Action ● WTA Town Unit Meeting prep ● CAFO meeting on November 5, 2025 to be held at Door County Gala 13. Correspondence ● Tom Schmelzer – liquor license options in the Town– more to follow in the upcoming months 14. Public Comment ● Annette and John Vincent – 2794 Lake Forest Park Drive, Sturgeon Bay o Verbal presentation in regard to CAFOs and their opinion that Door County soils are not compatible with this type of operation and outlined their concerns. Subject property is located in the Town of Sevastopol; Town of Sturgeon Bay is affected as we hold spreading fields. o Requested town board members and residents attend the meeting on November 5, 2025 at the DC Gala at 6 pm and advocate for our community against this CAFO request. ● 15.
