Library Committee — Minutes

1 Library Committee September 10th, 2026 Meeting Minutes Call to Order: Attendees: Carly Mulliken, Chairperson; Grace Held, Member; Windsor McCutcheon, Treasurer; Cindy Nelson, Member, and Suzanne Ihrig, Ephraim Library Branch Manager. Mary Wilson, Member, did not attend. No guests attended. Meeting called to order at 2:01 p.m. by Carly Mulliken, who noted that we have a quorum. Tree Recommendation: The Library Committee will make the following tree recommendations to the Ephraim Facilities Department: • #1 pick: Red Maple – easily trimmed, slow growing, native • #2 and #3 picks: Malus Profusion Crabapple and Malus Adams Crabapple – sun-loving, clean, disease-resistant, stay small • The Library Committee also recommends the tree be planted in the middle of the front yard, so it does not block the Ephraim Library sign or get too close to the sidewalk. Friends of the Door County Libraries Winnie-Palooza Event: The Library Committee discussed the Winnie-Palooza events sponsored by the Friends of the Door County Libraries and by consensus decided not to participate in any events outside of the events being held inside the Ephraim Library. Next Meeting Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ephraim Library. Adjournment: Carly Mulliken adjourned the meeting at 2:21 p.m.
