May 29, 2024 Town of Luxemburg Plan Commission Meeting Meeting called to order by the Zoning Lead – Jim Salentine at 7:15 PM Plan Commission Board members present: Jim Salentine John Haen Greg Ronsman Jerry Meisler Gene Seidl Edith Lauscher – Zoning Administrator Town Board Members: Linda Jonet - Chairman Ken Dart - Supervisor #1 Leonard Wachal - Supervisor #2 Glenda Daul - Clerk Community Members in attendance: Brian Peot Calvin, Ashley & Kynslee Abts Andy & Peggy Abts Calvin Abts was requesting to rezone 2 acres from A-1 Exclusive Ag to R-1 Residential (Parcel 31 012 9.142) to build a house. This year he would put in a driveway and possible septic. He is in partnership with his parents. He is buying these 2 acres from his parents to build a barnminium. Jim Salentine called for a motion to grant the rezoning. Motion to approve the rezone by John Haen, with a 2 nd by Greg Ronsman. A unanimous yes from the Plan Commission Board to grant the rezoning of 2 acres A-1 Exclusive Ag to R-1 Residential (Parcel 31 012 9.142) for Calvin Abts. Motion carried. 5 ayes, 0 nays Linda Jonet then brought the decision to the Town Board. Leonard Wachal motioned to approve the rezoning, with a 2 nd by Ken Dart. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays Jim made the request for a motion to adjourn. Motion by Jerry Miesler and a 2nd by Gene Seidl to adjourn. Motion carried. 5 ayes, 0 nays. Meeting adjourned at 7:23 PM.
