May 13th Regular Board Meeting

Town Board Minutes – May 13, 2025 Supervisor Gayle Ashbery called to order the regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Carlton at 7:03 p.m. Present were: Councilman Charles Ricci, Councilman John Olles, and Supervisor Gayle Ashberry. Highway Superintendent Kurt VanWycke, Town Attorney Doug Heath and Councilman Brian McCue were excused. Following roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, the Minutes from April 8, 2025 were approved by Councilman Olles and seconded by Councilman Ricci. Town Park Portable Toilets – Bid accepted for Best Rentals for 2025 season, approved by Councilman Olles, seconded by Councilman Ricci Surplus equipment – To be sent to auction, approved by Councilman Ricci, seconded by Councilman Olles. Supervisor Report - submitted by Gayle Ashbery; total receipts for April were $56,881.79. Expenditures through April on average should equal 33.33% of annual budget; General Fund 31.46%; Highway Fund 32.98%; Water District 38.22%. Report approved by Councilman Olles, and seconded by Councilman Ricci. Town Clerk Report – Presented by Debbie Yockel, Total local shares remitted is $879.00. Approved by Councilman Olles; seconded by Councilman Ricci. Code/Zoning report, amount collected was as follows: Code $675.00. Approved by Councilman Olles and seconded by Councilman Ricci. Town Justice report submitted by Judge Hurley, collected $1,735.00. A motion by Councilman Ricci was made to approve, seconded by Councilman Olles. Highway Superintendent report – Kurt VanWycke was excused from reporting. Legislator John Fitzak reported Paint Collection will be May 31. Land Use Training for Zoning and Planning Board will be June 17th. Pipe is ordered for the ditch on Oak Orchard on the Lake. Registration is now open for the county’s annual household hazardous waste (HHW) collection event, which will be held on Saturday, August 10. A motion was made by Councilman Olles to approve the April vouchers to be paid in the total amount of $ 101,795.56; seconded by Councilman Ricci.
