May 14th Regular Board Meeting

May 14, 2019 At 7:00 pm, Supervisor Gayle Ashbery called to order the regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Carlton. Present were the following Board members: Councilman Jeffery Gifaldi, Councilman John Fitzak, Councilwoman Deborah Yockel and Councilman Dana Woolston. Also present Donald Jones Highway and Doug Heath, Town Attorney. Kurt VanWycke, Hwy Supt. and Karen Narburgh, Town Clerk were excused. Following roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, Privilege of the Floor was opened. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to approve the April Supervisors report was seconded by Mr. Woolston and carried. A motion by Mr. Gifaldi to approve the Town Clerk report was seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mrs. Yockel to approve the Code/Zoning report was seconded by Mr. Fitzak and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to approve Justice Russel’s report seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mr. Gifaldi to approve Justice Hurley’s report seconded by Mr. Fitzak and carried. Mrs. Ashbery stated that the Town bought a new wheeled excavator from an auction. Chris Standish of the Carlton Fire Company stated that in the Month of April they responded to 29 Calls at a total of 107 man hours. A motion by Mr. Woolston to approve the April Vouchers in the amount of $79,056.44 seconded by Mr. Fitzak and carried. Under old business Mrs. Ashbery stated that she needed to meet with Mr. Grube to discuss the Gaines/ Carlton water dispute.
