Meeting Announcement and Posting The meeting was properly announced and posted. Hofberger called the meeting to order at 9:59 a.m. 2. Roll Call Committee Members Present: Hofberger, Kesler, Hansen, McCann, Wayne, Lowey Staff Members Present for All or Part of the Meeting: Reali, Bonlander, Huitema, Jalonen, Santry, Hagan, Bochniak Others Present for All or Part of the Meeting: Abby Adams 3. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all. 4. Approval of Agenda Motion by Kesler and seconded by Hansen to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously. 5. Approval of Minutes from the August 6, 2026 Committee Meeting Motion made by Lowey and seconded by McCann to approve the minutes from the August 6, 2026 Committee Meeting. 6. Public Participation (if requested by Committee Chair) None Abby Adams arrived at 10:00 a.m. 7. Agency and Association Reports • Natural Resources Conservation Service Report (NRCS) Adams provided details on current programs, application deadlines and qualifying practices. Items for Action or Discussion • Gabrielle Huitema; Soil Health Specialist/Ag Educator; Introduction Huitema introduced herself and provided an overview of her recent activities and focus areas. • WI Land & Water Land Conservation Committee Handbook Reali highlighted key sections of the handbook for the committee. A brief discussion followed. • Approve attendance at Lake Winnebago Land & Water Conservation Association Summer Meeting & Tour; September 18; Fond du Lac County (Action Needed) Reali briefed the committee on the upcoming meeting and tour scheduled for September 18 in Fond du Lac County. Motion made by Lowey and seconded by Hansen to approve committee member attendance at the event. Motion carried unanimously. 10. Report of Committee Members Hofberger noted receiving inquiries from the public regarding data centers and a power plant. Discussion followed. 12. Tour of Conservation Projects Jalonen, Santry, Bochniak, and Hagan joined the meeting for the tour portion. • 11:15 a.m. – Leitner Grassed Waterway – Near W5191 W Jeffereson Rd., Chilton Jalonen presented the project details to the committee. • 11:45 a.m. – Brothertown Creek Streambank Stabilization – Brothertown Harbor Jalonen provided an overview of the project to the committee. • 12:15 p.m. – Stony Brook Trout Stream Restoration – W3797 County F, Chilton Santry guided the committee through the project site.
