Meeting Announcement and Posting The meeting was properly announced and posted. Kolb called the meeting to order at 2:30 pm 2. Roll Call Committee Members Present: Schwalen b erg, Kees, Jones, Kolb , Voight Staff Members Present for All or Part of the Meeting: Piper, Metzen , Romenesko, Stoegbauer Others Present: Conn o r s 3. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all. 4. Introductions Introductions were made. 5. Approval of Agenda Motion by Schwalenberg and seconded by Kees to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Approval of Minutes from May 27 , 202 6 , Committee Meeting Motion by S chwalenberg and seconded by Kees to approve the minutes from the May 27 , 202 6 , Committee Meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 7. Public Participation (if requested by Committee Chair) None 8. Communications None 9. Items for Action or Discussion Present budget for approval- Joanne Metzen introduced the budget for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Todd Romenesko presented a handout on the proposed 2026-2027 budget. Motion by Sc hwalenberg to approve the 2026-2027 budget and seconded by K ees . Motion carried unanimousl y 10. Report of Department Metzen, Director of Special Education, Department Report None. 11. Report of Committee M embers - Schwalenberg noted a potential operational shift regarding the Department of Education to the Department of Health. Conn o rs clarified that she believes this matter is moving to a formal hearing. 12. Discuss Next Meeting - Discussion about the scheduled Sept 2 2 , 2026, 2:30 p.m. meeting due to a conflict with the C ounty B oard C onference . The next meeting is rescheduled for September 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. 13. Consideration of Additional Agenda Items for the Next Board Meeting - None. 14.
