ROLL CALL: Clerk Shawn Lea, Supervisor Dick Trzebiatowski, Supervisor Jeff Lutz, Treasurer Paulette Rogers, Plan Commission Chair Brenna Olson, Gary Rzentkowski, Arnold Seitz, Marjorie Bachhuber, Denise Maves, Brent Holderman, Gary Nilsen and Amy Netzel.
CALL TO ORDER: 4:45 P.M.
PUBLIC INPUT: None
DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PASSING OF TOWN CHAIRMAN, DON SPIERINGS AND TO FIGURE OUT THE NEEDS FOR THE TOWN AND WHAT THE TOWN BOARD NEEDS TO DO: A prayer was said by Supervisor Trzebiatowski. Clerk Lea asked to lead this discussion. Clerk Lea reminded everyone that this meeting is just for discussion, and no replacements will be made until the next town board meeting which will be held on August 12, 2026.
Clerk Lea had some information from the WTA magazine (July 2024) about Town Vacancies. Vacancies of the board chair position are often filled by a current board member, which makes another vacancy of a town supervisor. Supervisor Trzebiatowski has shown interest in becoming the appointed Chairman. Clerk Lea had asked if anyone is interested in becoming the appointed Town Supervisor to let the Clerk office or one of the current town supervisors know. Brent Holderman stated that he would be interested in becoming the appointed town supervisor. Residents can come forward for this position at the August 12, 2026, town board meeting. Clerk Lea also reminded that the appointed position is only until the next election term which is April 2027. Candidates can come forward at the January 2027 Caucus.
Clerk Lea stated that one of the current town supervisors would need to sign checks for the town. Supervisor Trzebiatowski offered to become an authorized signatory for the township. Plan Commission member, Amy Netzel stated to check with the bank to make sure if they needed some documentation for adding a new authorized signatory.
Resident Marjorie Bachhuber asked if there was a job description for town chairman and town supervisor. Clerk Lea said there was something generic and will check with the Wisconsin Towns Association.
CLOSING OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING: M/S Dick Trzebiatowski/Jeff Lutz to close the Special Town Meeting at 5:25 p.m. Ayes = 2.
