CITY OF NEW HOLSTEIN COMMON COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, October 15, 2025 6:15 PM City Hall The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was called to order by Mayor Richard Snelson (via Teams), presiding. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Council members Gene Woelfel, Paula Oakley, Brad Hess, Becca Mosier, Norm Propson, Steve Abrams, Kathy Schroeder, and Dan Watson were present at roll call. Also present were City Administrator Scott Depies, Fire Chief Craig Carey, Police Chief Eric Fisher, Public Works Director Jason Meyer, Library Director Hankins, and Police Captain Chuck Schroeder. Others in attendance: Mark Sherry It was noted that the meeting was properly announced. A motion was made by Propson, seconded by Mosier, and carried to approve the agenda. A motion was made by Woelfel, seconded by Abrams, and carried to approve the minutes from the previous Common Council meeting on September 17, 2025. Citizen Input: None A motion was made by Mosier, seconded by Watson, and carried to approve the Consent Agenda. Approval of Financial Reports Invoices totaling $191,665.10 Financial Report as of October 15, 2025. Approval of License Applications: None Approval of Park Use and Special Event Applications: None Reports of Departments and Committees : Police Department Petty Cash - $231.85; Building Permits $174,373; Library Receipt Report $246.00. Minutes: Committee of the Whole September 17 , Board of Review May 21 and September 18, Library Board September 8, Utilities and Sanitary Sewer Commission August 26. Action Items: A motion was made by Woelfel, seconded by Schroder, and carried to approve the renewal of the School Resource Officer Contract. A motion was made by Mosier, seconded by Propson, and carried to approve the sale of Parcel 18791.
